Local FBLA-PBL chapters are often connected to their school's business education department, and most advisers are business education teachers.
It is one of the top 10 organizations listed by the U. The Professional Division officers are elected by electronic ballot in the spring of each year. The Professional Division president serves a two-year term. These officers represent the members on the national level.
Each region is represented by its respective vice president. Unlike most FBLA-PBL offices, Regional Officers are selected by the Regional Vice President for service, and those interested must fill out an application during the beginning or prior to the following the school year.
Some also have Historians, Webmasters, and Parliamentarians. These are often governed by an elected officer who serves on the State Officer Team. Chapter offices vary by chapter: While most use a structure similar to that of the national officers, other use a corporate-style structure with offices such as CEO, CIO, etc.FBLA is a national organization designed to teach students business practices, college and career preparation techniques, and business communication and networking skills.

This award focuses on basic business skills, introduction to community service, and FBLA involvement at the local level. Pins will be sent to the local chapter adviser for presentation at a local awards ceremony or local FBLA event.
